Privacy Policy for KFUPM Delivery

KFUPM Delivery (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides food ordering and delivery services within King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the KFUPM Delivery app.

Information We Collect

You may browse restaurants, service providers, menus, and offers without creating an account.

When you register, place an order, save an address, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Your name, mobile number, and email address
  • Delivery details, including city, area, building, room number, address, and delivery instructions
  • Order details, order history, selected payment method, and transaction status
  • Information you provide when contacting support
  • Limited technical information, such as device type, app activity, notification token, and crash information

We collect this information directly from you, automatically through the app, or from payment and service providers involved in completing your order.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process, deliver, and track orders
  • Save your delivery addresses
  • Process payments and refunds
  • Send order and service notifications
  • Provide customer support
  • Maintain the security and performance of the app
  • Prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Apple Pay and Payments

When you use Apple Pay, Apple may provide information that you authorize for the transaction, such as your name, delivery address, telephone number, email address, and an encrypted payment token.

KFUPM Delivery does not receive or store your complete debit or credit card number.

Apple Pay information is used and shared only as necessary to process the payment, fulfill and deliver your order, prevent fraud, provide refunds, resolve payment issues, or meet legal requirements. It is not used for advertising or unrelated marketing.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers under their own security and privacy practices.

Sharing of Information

We may share only the information necessary to provide the service with:

  • Restaurants and service providers preparing your order
  • Delivery personnel completing your delivery
  • Payment providers processing your transaction
  • Technology providers supporting hosting, notifications, analytics, security, and app operation

We require third parties processing information on our behalf to provide the same or an equivalent level of protection described in this policy and to use the information only for authorized purposes.

Notifications

With your permission, we may send notifications about orders, service updates, and offers.

You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications does not prevent you from accessing features that do not depend on them.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention, and security requirements.

Account information and saved addresses are generally retained while your account remains active. Certain order and transaction records may be retained after account deletion when required by law.

Registered users can request account deletion in the app by selecting:

My Account → Delete Account

You may also request access, correction, or deletion of your information by emailing contact@kfupmmall.com.

After a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize information that we are not legally required to retain. Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your account.

You may withdraw consent for optional processing by changing your device permissions, disabling notifications, deleting your account, or contacting us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children’s Privacy

KFUPM Delivery is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
